Default Club land is for sale!!!

Ive was informed by our land owned that our club land is for sale, we have been on the same property for over 40 years and now may loose it! the owner said he would work on our behalf with any potential buyer to help us keep the lease but he couldn't guarantee anything, I hope another paper company buys it so we can keep our lease. weve paid half the $ already and the other half is due by the end of the month, im thinking I need to send it in early so maybe if its paid any new owner might let us stay, Yall think that's a good Idea?

Don't send your money!

Our club has been bought and sold so many times I've lost count.

If it is a large tract of land I'd be willing to bet a paper co. will purchase it.......and you will get a chance to lease it........most likely at a higher price.

If you have mature timber you can rest assured it will be cut soon....

Just make sure the current landowner has your contact info and be sure to tell him to pass it on to the new owners........I sent mine to them several times just to make sure. If it an auction, go to it and talk to the new land owners.

Good luck.

its 420 acres that was cut 4 to 5 years ago, no timber to sell, its owned by a small family owned paper co and weve had a good relation ship with the owner for years, said he was liquidating some of his holdings, hes asking 1500 per acre for land in jasper co so im thinking it will sell

That's about right if the there is no mature timber on it right now. It's a long term investment property for somebody.

Split it with 8 of your besties. And you have a great club Noone can take away. Finance it. You're rich. Sell a few more boats.

Hopefully you will keep the hunting rights. I have a investor friend that was letting me hunt tracts he bought until they sold. Ran into some club members from NC while scouting and had to break the bad news to them the property had been sold. They had sent in their dues but landowner had not told them it had sold
