Default Argentina

Buddy bought a Argentina dove hunt at an auction and asked if I wanted to go. 500 for hunt plus airfare and shells. I would love to go in June but I'm wondering how much this hunt would end up costing me? Been wanting to do this for awhile!

you will shoot cases and cases of shells,as you wear out a shotgun....you will need 2 guns, one to shoot, while the other is being loaded
don't forget to tip your guides!!!

Figure $ 2k in shells & don't forget the tips, everyone down there has their hand out, & don't drink the water & watch the ice in the drinks (it is made from the water).

June down there is like our December, Cordoba, Argt. is as far south of the equator as Orlando, Fl is, it may get cold but it doesn't stay cold.

The last time I went I got an 870 28ga. & took the plug out. I got 1,820 in three days, I shot 70%.

500 hunt
1500 airfare
2000 shells/tip

Looking at probably $4k minimum I would think

How many days hunting? I'd guess the price would depend on how much they charge you for shells. Most places will rent guns, not sure that's not the best option and would save some fees.

I have no idea, but I would guess 2500 for 4-5 days.

My Dad looked into it a couple years back, but I think the flight time is what finally made him decide not to go

Best $$$ I ever spent !!! Rent a shotgun when you get there, they'll probably have Benilli's, or Beretta's that way you won't be wearing your stuff out, plus no airport hassles.
I carried a leather sewing thimble for my right thumb, if not it will be a raw and bloody digit.

Gotta pace yourself too, shoot a flat of shells, take a break, drink a beer.

Be sure and request a bird girl too !!!

That is one LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG ass flight.

Damn, a dove hunt like that would even kill a Boykin

Sounds like it would be a blast but I will never be able to afford that.

Its all about the people going with you. I would go only if I could have a blast with the guys there...not just shooting and shooting. The shooting will be all you can handle. Get your hands on an extended tube Benelli and your shell bill will be the highest there. Cervesa from the bird boys as they load your guns...plural...you can shoot non stop if you don't watch out.

Rent a gun there. Make sure it is a 20 ga. Only shoot one gun so you don't wear yourself out. I haven't been yet but I have been told by many what to expect, my brother being one of them. Ask him Kevin, he will fill you in.

This is a bucket list hunt for me but I doubt I'll ever go. My dad and brother are too cheap to ever go on a hunt like this. I wouldn't go on my own and would prefer any hunts like that to be with them.

You can't even make yourself go for a morning here. How you gonna go 4 days down there?
