Default Ticks?

Our house has a major problem with ticks...to the point that we can't even really enjoy the yard or property. I can literally walk from one corner of the yard to the other and pick up numerous ticks...even worse if I hit a spot of seed ticks. I've spent all morning picking seed ticks off my khakis that I picked up on my driveway.

Yard is cut weekly with no overgrowth in the yard but the ticks are horrible. Has anyone had any luck with pesticides/preventative measures? Any recommendation?

I'm sure there is something a pest control company can spray. But short term permanone (permethrin) on clothing is the solution. 2 week residual so it is effective for that long even after washes

That may be what I have to do. I've put a few things out in the yard in the past that work OK, but they're terrible right now.

Hesitant to use permanone on the kids clothes, but I use it on mine.
