Duffer, its one of the best grilling accessories I've gotten. Its a solid slab of salt that you use as sort of an indirect cooking surface. I get the grill hot. put the block on it, and get it hot. Then cook meat directly on it. Fish is great on it. Especially Salmon. But all fish has turned out really well. Pork chops are great on it at well. Haven't done a steak on it. Just pork and fish. It gives it a slight salty flavor to the meat but gives you a really consistent cook.
